Ok, I want the thing to ring and vibe when there is an incoming call, but I
just want it to vibe when there is a text message. Anyone got any idea's on
this?
I have textmessage set to vibe in the style settings but it still plays a
tone when a txt msg is received.
??
TIA,

This is the standard way on Motos, the V3 is no different.

I have my V600 set to vibe only on texts and vibe then ring on calls. Works
fine. From what I understand the SW on the V3 is the same so it should work
the same way.
The only thing which messes it up is if you have a specific ring tone set
for a specific person or group of people, then if you receive a text from
one of those people, the phone will ring rather than vibe. Check you do not
have any selective ringtones set for a person or group of people. If you
have, then you will have to disable that option for the phone to behave as
you want it to.
Other than that, with the text alert set to vibe (dot dash or whatever), and
the ring tone set to vibe then ring, all should work.

Not on my V600 it isn't. I have vibe for texts and ring and vibe for calls.
My V50 could do the same. And my T720i. So it is not the standard way on
Motos, it depends how you have your settings.

Thats brilliant lofty, I think I may have a specific ringtone set for a
category. I'll check it out.
