Not unless something goes real wrong during the update. My address book
(including voice dial and per-user ringtones), stored SMS messages,
shortcuts, and GetItNow apps remained intact. Some of the customization
options, such as the default ringtones for the Loud/Soft/etc profiles
were reset, as was were the icons on the main menu. The tech who did
my update said that they specifically upload the phone book/etc to the
flash computer before doing the update, in case the update (which is
SUPPOSED to preserve this stuff) bombs.

    Re: New software for T720/T730

I had mine upgraded last week. I lost all settings, but not the
    address book.

The one drawback I've seen is that it appears to try too hard to hold
onto a digital signal. The local tower is being flakey and my T730 is
jumping between signal and no signal. My wife's, which has not been
    upgraded, his sticking with Analog.

    Thanks.

    Jeff
