Is there any way to change the clock from American 12-hour setting to a
24-hour clock? Is there some way to change the date from November 4, 2004 to
read 4 November 2004?

yes , you can change to a 24 hour clock, and you can change the date to show
12/25/04, 25/12/04 or 25-DEC-04
From the main menu go to Settings, then Initial Setup then Time and Date.
If you have an autoupdate turned on, turn it off.
Highlight the time and press the change button. press the right arrow twice
to highlight the AM or PM field and press up or down until it says 24hr then
make sure the hour and minute are correct then press OK
then highlight the date, press change, then highlight format and choose the
one you want. You can then re-enable autoupdate and it will remember those
settings.
