    Hello!

My english is not the best but i will try it ;-)

I use my second Motorola mobile (V525 and the new V980-UMTS from Vodafone)
Both mobiles had the same "problem".

If i want to store a number into the phonebook with different Numbers
    (privat, office, e-mail, mobile)
the mobile makes for each number a own contact.

If i compare the Motorola to my old Ericsson, the Ericsson makes only one
    Contact with
    the different Numbers.

Is it possible to change something in the settings to store only ONE Name
with the different numbers of the person?
For my it doesn´t look so clear if i had many times the same Name and i only
can see the differnt by the small icon after the
    name.

    Thanks
    Bastian

If you store all your contacts on the sim, then there is no way to do this.
If you store you contacts on the phone there is a way. While in the
phonebook, press the center menu button, then choose setup, and change the
View option to Primary Contacts instead of ALL contacts.
