I've got it, me likey. Though they don't advertise it, it does play mp3's.
Just have to knock down the bitrate since the phone only holds 5meg.
Texting is a breeze and the bluetooth works well.

    Re: Motorola A630?

Had mine for almost a week now. This is what I think so far. Previous phone
    was SE t68i.

    Pros:
    Small size.
    Neat flip up design.
Color screen is very good. The t68i was impossible to read in direct
    daylight.
Clarity is good. Better than the t68i.
    Speaker phone works well.
Menu system is pretty quick. t68i was painfully slow.

    Cons:
Not a smartphone. Looks like one though.
Buttons are small and too stiff.
Can't save all your numbers to sim card at once. Have to save individually
so very time consuming if you have a lot of numbers. It takes about 9 clicks
to save to the sim. t68i can save all at once.
Can't delete the call log all at once. Have to delete one at a time which is
also time consuming. Something you could do with the t68i.
Phone book is setup odd. Maybe I'm not used to it yet. The name will appear
in your phone book for as many numbers you enter for that name. So if you
have 3 numbers for 1 person then that person's name will appear 3 times in
    your phonebook.
User manual isn't detailed enough. Especially for the issues I'm having
    above.

    Haven't tried sms yet.

It's only been 1 week and I've been using the t68i for almost 2 years so
there's a lot I need to get used to for this phone.

I have had mine now for about 4 days.

Love it so far very clear sound, great display although small, the phone is
light and compact. I don't mind having it in my pocket at all.
As for the cons you listed, you copy all entries from either the SIM or the
phone using the smart menu button and selecting copy, you will get 3
options copy all to sim, all to phone, or selected entry.
To me keyboard is great I like the feel, I guess thats a personal
preference. Battery seems good so far only been on the charger once when I
first got it, I guess time will tell more on that.
You can as well clear all the calls lists again using the smart menu button
    and selecting delete all.
I will strongly agree with your argument about the phone book displaying
multiple entries for the same person, one for each number. But I guess
thats a Motorola thing, my V60 & V600 all did this.
By far this is my favorite phone I have owned.
Would be nice if they made it more of a smart phone, but this does the trick
for me. I have not had the oportunity to try out the blue tooth yet,
waiting for my laptop to get back from repair, long story don't ask

    Re: Motorola A630?

You should be able to change the phone book to show only one entry per name
by accessing the menu and selecting "Show primary" or something like that.
At least this is a feature of the v600, which I believe carries over. You
then select the name to see all the numbers associated. Since I haven't
played with an A630 yet, I am not positive that this feature exists, but it
    seems logical.

    Re: Motorola A630?

The a630 does have, IMHO, some software oversights. I had a motorola
t-900 two way pager and you'd think they'd copy some of the features
    from it. Not so unfortunatly

Can't just highlight a text message and hit the "del" key to delete it.
You have to go into the menu or read the message.

The "delete" option is #1 in one menu and #3 in another??

There is no ability to save messages in a personal folder separate from
    the inbox

If you are busy typing a text message and close the cover it is NOT
automatically saved as a draft (this is a big bummer)

You can't make a shortcut to do directly to the text message edit
screen, you still have to say you want a text message on the messages
    screen.

Tried to set the autocleanup to save only 1 message, but I wasn't
    confident that ever worked.

If you press and hold the delete key it will delete EVERYTHING rather
than just progressing backwards until you let up. Be nice if that
"function" required and "alt" key or similar

WOuld be nice if you could directly jump to the end of a long text
    message w/ an "alt" function.

I still love the phone and hope that someone from motorola is reading
these comments so that perhaps these shortcomings can get included in a
future software update. If you're a motorola software person, you may
contact me directly for more feedback at [email protected]
