I just purchased an unblocked V180 to replace a Nokia 6620. I really like
the 6620, but my employer, a defense contractor doesn't like the built-in
camera.
I put my AT&T Wireless SIM card into the V180 and the 'phone woke up showing
AT&T Wireless like you would expect.
I can make calls with the 'phone.
But, if you try to call my mobile number you get routed to voicemail saying
the 'phone is either busy or turned off.
Also, I cannot use the Web browser in the V180. I keep getting the message
the connection cannot be made and to try again later.
The internet capability I could probably do without, but if the 'phone won't
take calls, I might as well send it back.
I believed and have been told by several persons that all I had to do was
move the SIM card over to another 'phone and I would be on the air. What am
I missing?
Do the networks use that IMEI number to ID the 'phone or something?
Thanks,
Turner
