I have a Motorola V600 phone and the volumne seems to be getting lower and
lower. It is almost to the point that I can't answer a call unless I am in
a very quiet room. I have the volumne on the side of the phone all the way
up to seven and it can't go any higher. Has anyone else experienced this?

Open it up and clean it if you are handy man. Or else
just send it back for service.

YES! My V600 is about 7 months old and just recently the earpiece volume
seems to be getting lower and lower regardless of the volume setting.
When it was new the volume was almost deafening on the full setting but now
    I can hardly hear anything!

    Re: V600 Volumne Problem

I had the same problem last week with my V500 which is about 18 months old.
So I opened up the LCD part and used a hairdryer to blow clean the mic bits.
I didn't see much dirt or dust there actually (1 hair strand though), but
after I put it back together (and switched it on while holding my breadth)
it works fine now-as good as new really. There are four little screws hidden
beneath 4 rubber bungs around the LCD screen which need to be removed and
then you can pry apart the LCD section very carefully. You will need a torx
screwdriver to open the screws by the way. You must use a thin flat
screwdriver to release two catches along either side of the screen before
the section will come apart. The whole job took me about 1 hour but thats
because I didn't know what I was doing. It would take an expert only a few
minutes. I was ready to discard the phone but I have a V series carkit so I
want to keep my V500 as long as possible or at least until I sell the car.
