What information is stored in the memory of my Cingular Motorola V400 phone?
I can only see a limited number of recent calls - received, dialed, etc.
Are more available internally, and can I get them out of the serial cable?
How? Can I use that data to reconcile my bill when it arrives, and monitor
my usage close to real-time? What else is available? Maybe over-the-air
provisioning information? Why is this stuff so difficult to obtain? Also,
my user manual mentions many features, and directs me to ask for another
manual to get an explanation of their use. Motorola tells me that this
manual is not available. It sounds like their sales resistance program is
working too well! TIA, Paul

Re: Many V400 questions...
Cingular determines whats in the manual that goes into a Cingular box.
Cingular determines what features are particularly enabled in the phone.
The V400 is essentially the same phone as a V300 on Tmobile (different
housing) as a V5xx series on many other operators around the world (V500s
have the Bluetooth chip in it too).
That's why the manuals have features not shown etc since the operator's Flex
file determines what they want you to see.
Example, Cingular has the fewest ringtones and turns off the network
settings details as well as other details. Your beef is with them, not the
manufacturer.

Check out this guide

While it was written with the v300 in mind, all of it also applies to the
v400.
