V551 Question - Hang up when closing?

Is there a way to set the phone to hang up when I close it?

I believe the default is to hang up when closed. According to the manual you
cannot make a call with the unit closed unless you have a headset attached.

it should always hang up when you close it unless using a headset. If yours
doesn't hang up then you have a problem.
