I have the motorola V400, and every now and then I'll pull the phone
out of my pocket and the front screen is dead. So I open it, and the
screen is all white with nothing else on it. I close it again, and the
regular front screen comes back up. I open it again, and the main
screen comes up with no background, and if I try do open my address
book or anything, it says "please wait..." for a while. I also notice
that sometimes the battery runs out much faster than it should. Does
anyone know if these problems are related or if these problems can be
fixed?

Clean the battery terminals and the phone contacts with isopropyl
alcohol. Really scrub them down. This has helped with intermittent
crashes on a V710 that has the exact problem. I think that the phone
contacts are the problem.
