    Hi guys

    I want to put mp3s tunes on my phone from cds but i need to cut them down to
    make says 20 seconds of a song, what software can do this, i have psmplayer
    which doesthe same but only with middi tracks

    WavePad will get the job done, i have used it to cut some mp3's for my phone
    and plus its free!

    You could use db power amp and your windows sound recorder as well. I found that db power amp was really user friendly and for the trial version, was free.

    I find that iTunes is not only easy, but free. Plus, chances are that you
    already have it on your computer. Just open a track's information up,
    select the portion of the mp3 you want cut (edit start and stop time) and
    then re-convert to a new mp3 file.

    Use db power amp and windows media player but I've found that most of the songs are in cda format if so you can use music match jukebox to tranfer the songs to your pc, under no cercumstances (sp) use windows media player unless you want to pay for the codec that allows you to change them to mp3's
