I have a Kensington Bluetooth Adapter installed on my PC.

Do I still need MPT to transfer files back and forth?

The software that came with the USB adapter gives me an option to OBEX File
Transfer but when I ever I click it nothing happens and it times out.

If I do need MPT, will it work with a Bluetoon connection instead of a data
    cable?

    TIA

No, the blluetooth software will work just fine. It will work better
in some cases - if you want to upload a game to your phone, you can do
    that with the bluetooth software.

Play with it some more. Make sure you followed the installation
instructions exactly, and that the bluetooth drivers loaded and not
the Microsoft ones. I think you have to install the software BEFORE
    connecting the device.

    Thanks for the reply.

I didn't want to give up so I uninstalled it and reinstalled. Now I got it
    paired and working fine.

Not being satisfied, I searched around and found Motorola Mobile Phone
Tools on line to download, version 3.1, so I did. I got that working fine
now also, plenty of bells and whistles compared to just the Bluetooth
    Software. I like the MPT.

    Thanks again for the reply!
