Sorry to hear that. Works on my W2K SP4.
(perhaps more info then just a mention in the subject line would help)

Re: Can't get MPT to work on W2k, SP 4
Sorry about that. I'm able to get MPT to work on my XP puter home but
at work I'm running Win 2k SP 4. Whenever i start MPT the splash
screen comes up and the computer locks up. I bought MPT 2.0 off ebay
along with an OEM data cable. The program runs fine at that version
but unfortunately the v551 wasn't available at the time of that
release so it's not recognized. I ran the update to 3.25 and that is
where the problem starts. I'm running 3.23 at home and ran an update
but it says it's up to date? 3.25 a Win 2k fix? Any input would be
appreciated

Can't help, but I can sympathize. I have exactly the same setup (MPT 3.0
purchased from Motorola, working fine on XP, locking up Win2K/SP4 at
splash screen). That's locked up, as in not even responding to
Ctrl-Alt-Del; nothing short of the reset button gets its attention. I
would expect it to be a driver screwup of some kind to lock up Win2K
like that; NT (NT4.0/Windows2000/XP) is is a real operating system which
doesn't let misbehaving apps take it down.
