I'm thinking about buying the Bluetooth version of Motorola Phone tools but
have a question I need answered. The literature says: "Use your Motorola
phone as a modem to connect your laptop to the internet." I presently use a
dsl line to connect my laptop to the internet and don't want to pay for
another service to use with the phone. Would I have to pay for another
interent service that would wokr with my cell phone? Any help appreciated.

Re: Mobile Phone Tools (Bluetooth) question
There is no special version for BT, the program supports both BT and
USB. As for connecting to a dial up provider, yes, you would need an
account with a dial up ISP. Perhaps your DSL provider offers dial up
too. I know that with Roadrunner Cable Modem service I also have a dial
up number I can use on the road and they don't charge me extra for that.

Re: Mobile Phone Tools (Bluetooth) question
Thats correct, you can use bluetooth or a cable to connect to the internet
with your notebook. I use Verizon and #777 for 144kbs connection with the
charges against my plan (minutes), not mb's downloaded. Their is no
registration or signup required. I don't have a cable so I use bluetooth.
Its great when you are away from your DSL!
