Anyone with this problem?
I have two (3 month old) V551 phones. When I plug either phone into either
of my cars the phones loose signal and calls cannot be made or received.
If I remove the charger, the signal returns and I can use the phone. This
has happened several times. Calls to Cingular or Motorola were dead ends.
This does not happen with home charger.

Re: V551 loses signal when recharging
Is it an OEM or aftermarket car charger?
Have you tried another car charger, preferably one from Mot?

Re: V551 loses signal when recharging
Is it a charger or a cradle? If a cradle, does it connect to an external
antenna? If it does, do you HAVE an external antenna? If it IS a cradle
AND it expects an external antenna AND you have it CONNECTED to one, have
you removed the small rubber plug in the back of the phone, just under the
"stubby" antenna? This allows the phone to properly connect to the cradle
connector.

Re: V551 loses signal when recharging
The chargers are NOT OEM, they are "Belkin".
I have not tried another car charger.

Re: V551 loses signal when recharging
It is a car charge from "Belkin", not a cradle.
Thanks for the responses.
