I just got the V710 and plan on getting the TRANSFLASH 256 MG today, but
will I be able to transfer from computer to Cell and back and forth IF i can
get a usb cable without a CD. Like pictures for Call in ID, Tones etc ?
One more thing, if I have to have a CD, am I better off with the Version V2
    or V3 ?

I'm with us cellular if that makes a difference.

Please be truthfull, and Thank You.

Here's my own anser, seeing as how I didn't get a anser.

I bought a universal kit, and so far it finds the phone, but can't transfer
    pics back and forth.

Re: V710 and a usb cable question Please

I got mine to work by following the information on Mark Venture's site,
reading everything I could - at least twice - and backing up the original
files whenever I could (in case I want to try to restore for warranty
service). Here's his excellent resource on this phone:

    http://www.v710.org/mark/

Remember you're voiding your warranty if you do the seem edits. However, if
you're willing you should follow in the order he suggests.

It's especially important to get the right usbser.sys file loaded -
everywhere it appears on your PC. Read everything two or three times before
you try anything. Also, don't let Motorola Phone Tools autodetect your
phone - select the V10M manually and you'll get the Multimedia Studio.

I found the necessary software at http://www.inetron.com/ (you need to
register, but it's free). Look for the software in the Mobile Section off
the Main menu. I followed the flashing instructions on their site:

    http://www.inetron.com/index.php?opt...d=31&Itemid=39

    HTH and good luck,
