alright, I have had enough of "get it now". It's more like get hosed now.
What do I need to do and buy if I want to make and install my own ringtones
on my verizon v710?

OR
Another method.... use your puter to save it to your transflash card, create a message to an unusable number (555-555-5555 for example) and insert the file. The message will fail - but when you browse the ringtones next time you'll find the one you tried to send' on the list of available choices ... you can delete the fake message from your outbox.
