Bluetooth earpiece for left ear?
I am looking for a Bluetooth earpiece for my Motorola 710, however I am deaf
in my right ear. I cannot wear an earpiece constantly, but must put it on/in
when the phone rings. I am looking for something that can be worn on the
left ear and something that doesn't take more than a couple of seconds to
put on while driving. Any suggestions?

Let me try to simplify it for you.
I am deaf in my right ear. Need Bluetooth earpiece. Need go on left ear.
Can't leave it on all time driving. Need go on quickly when phone ring.
Clearer?

I wear my Plantronics M3000 (or something like that) on my left ear purely
by preference. My mother uses her Jabra BT250 in her left ear too.
Most that I've seen can be configured to work with either ear.

I have a Motorola HS810 with my V600 which can be adjusted to be worn on
either ear. I always use it on my left ear as I have the same problem as you
with the hearing, but I tend to wear it all the time when driving as I find
that it doesn't stop you from hearing other sounds and it could be
distracting or dangerous if I try to put on and drive at the same time.

Geoff and Michael,
Thanks for the input. It was greatly appreciated. I'll check into both.

I wear a Jabra 250V on my left ear (same as 250 except plus vibrating
feature). It is quick to put on (although I usually remove eyeglasses
for a moment to slip it on), and does not block all sound -- the earpiece
that goes into the ear can be slightly off center so it doesn't block all
sound. And it's extremely comfortable -- usually forget it is there!
Suggest you try it on in a store.

Re: Bluetooth earpiece for left ear?
I just picked up a jabra BT800 which according to the manual can be adjusted
for either ear.
have not used it yet except to try the fit as it needs to be charged and
paired to a razr.

Re: Bluetooth earpiece for left ear?
I have been exceptionally happy with the Pantronics M2500 for
my left ear. I can easily put it on in under 5 seconds while driving
(but you really should not do it while driving). $89.00 CAD

Re: Bluetooth earpiece for left ear?
Evidently my ears are very different, physically.
this $160 thing sucked on my right ear....no matter how adjusted it wanted
to fall off just tilting head.
Changed to left ear and forgot it was there... to expensive though.
Its perfect for form and fit on my left ear.
Now to get it married to my razr..I have been stupid, to date over $500. I
refuse to sigh a contract so its all prepaid. paid full price for all
hardware
to be continued.

Odd.
I don't know about your carrier, but mine charges a maximum of $200 for
early termination, and they gave me more then $200 off for signing a 3
year contract (combining the phone, free bluetooth headset, free first
month of service), so for me, it's a no brainer to sign a contract.
If I keep the phone+service then I come out ahead, if not then I'm no
worse off then if I'd bought the hardware outright.

Re: Bluetooth earpiece for left ear?
For what its worth to you, I do not enter into contracts for anything if I
can avoid it !!!!
I prepay for my cell needs.....the cost per unit time is the same and I can
manage my own usage and switch carriers without any penality.
Even though I pay retail for hardware,I wont have financial obligations
beyond that....my credit rating wont get dinged if I break contract and have
to end up paying full price in the future for a product that is out of
warantee.
