When making rt's, is there a maximum length they can be or should be?
I have a V-180.
Thx

Arc,
Someone else may know more than me. I don't know if there is a size
limit (if the mpeg gets above a certain size, that it will not play).
But what I have found out is that I have put RT's as long as 45
seconds. But I've noticed that my phone rings only about 20-25
seconds before it forwards to voice mail, so I never get to here my
full RT. The larger the mpeg files, the fewer you can store on you
phone.
I know that with large pics on my computer, if I copy them straight
over, I can't open them up to look at them. I have to shrink them
down before sending them to the phone, so the phone can use them. But
I don't know the size the file has to be in order for the phone to be
able to use it.
I hope this helps,
Conan

Re: Making Ring Tones Question
Sure, your RT's can be longer, but if you are using them as actuall
RT's, you will only hear 20-25 seconds of the RT when the phone is
ringing before the call is forwarded to VM.
But you can also use your RT's as alarms, so there you'll be able to
hear the full RT (and it will repeat) until you snooze or shut off the
alarm.
Like I said earlier, I don't know what the max size is. That is some
thing you will have to experment with. Just remember, the larger the
RT's, the fewer you can have on your phone.
