Hi,
Does anyone know of any software that will allow me to synchronise my
Outlook Calendar with my V3 Calendar, and that actually works?
MobilePhoneTools doesn't (it throws a fit if you have recurring appointments
for example, of which I've got quite a few).
Thanks
Eric

You can try Truesync also:
http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/soft..._downloads.htm
It's unsupported though.

Re: Calendar synch software for V3
Mobile edit is good but doesn't do Calendar functions. I'll have a look at
datapilot, thanks.

Re: Calendar synch software for V3
It seems that in order to download the update file from that link you
already need to have the original software, which I don't. Hunting around
the site hasn't helped me find the original either. Is this something that
comes with the phone in the US? (I'm in the UK, on T-mobile).
Thanks

Re: Calendar synch software for V3
I got it to install without having the original version.

Did you have to do anything special?

I looked at the
http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/soft..._downloads.htm page the
other day, and saw:
"You will need your original TrueSync Software installed
on your machine for an upgrade to TrueSync 3.1."
So, I didn't bother. Tonight, I look just below that statement, and I see:
"NOTE: You must uninstall the previous version of TrueSync before
installing the new version."
That seems a little confusing, unless they are relying on some registry
entries that get left behind on uninstall.

Re: Calendar synch software for V3
Ah, it works! I just installed it, not having the original software, and it
worked fine first time. I'm now able to use the Datebook feature in my V3
which is great!

That's TrueSync Plus 3.1.49.1
TrueSync Plus 3.1 Service Pack 1 (upgrade to 3.1.70.2 Service Pack 1) is at
<http://www.motorola.com.cn/service/download/package1.htm>.

I've had a lot of problems with MobilePhoneTools (had to perform a full
WinXP repair to fix it's first broken installation) but now I've got it
working, my recurring appointments are OK.
The only problem I had was for recurring appointments that started > 3
years ago (not sure of the exact number of years) - these didn;t
transfer.
Also, nearly all appointments got moved back 1 hour during the sync.
eg All day appointments got moved to 11pm-11am, starting on the day
prior to the appointment.
Might try the TrueSync instead - can't be any worse than MPT...

Re: Calendar synch software for V3
Datapilot and Mobile Edit are two others that you might try.
