Ok I just got V3, unfortunately did not bother to get insurance and now
my kids have broken the screen, theres a great big black thing right in
the middle of it and im gonna cryyyyyyyyyyy! I have looked on ebay and
you can buy a new screen but im scared cos dont want to damage it
further trying to fit it especially as i dont really have a clue what
to do. Been quoted £100 which seems an awful lot, can anyone help
pleaseeeee!!!

If physical damage is not obvious you could just bring it in for
warranty repair/replacement. Just say "look at this," and say nothing
more. Also, I don't know if they have the same deal in the UK but on
this side of the pond many credit card companies will pay for ANY loss
or damage to a purchase made on their card up to 3 months. If all that
fails, you can order what you need, including tools, from http://cnn.cn
and fix it yourself. It's not that hard to do. If you go that route
there are several sites that provide detailed illustrated instructions
the best of which may be:

Hi, thanks for the reply, the first two options are out but i have
bought the items i need to try and change the screen myself and so far
have spent about £30 which im quite pleased about. Only problem is the
site you gve me with the detailed step by step instructions on how to
refit the screen does not work, if there are others please could you
let me know. Thanks alot for the help so far.

I FIXED IT!!! I FIXED IT! YES! YES! YES!, Thanks for your help, the site
did not work but i thought id give it a try anyways sorta DIY it and
luckily i did not break anything else. Once again thanks to those who
helped.
