I just recently bought a V551 and am curious as to if people find data
cables or blue tooth to be a more reliable way of data transfer to their
    phones....Thanks

It's a personal preference, but I use a usb data cable. Both ways are
reliable - it's up to you.

    V551 connectivity

First time posting to this forum...
I too am looking at this issue today. I have a V551 in which I am looking at connecting to my Win XP desktop via USB data transfer cable useing Communication Manager to do data transfers to my phone only. I have a broadband connection using a Linksys 802.11 g wireless network on my desktop. My first and only attempt so far to connect my phone has led to a conflict with my wireless connection to the internet. Lots of reading to do on my part .
Might Bluetooth be a better for me to connect also?

    Thanks!!

I already have the "industry standard" USB cable for my v220, but I had to
buy something new for the v551, so I bought a bluetooth adapter for my PC.

I use bluetooth so I can put the phone somewhere else. Depending on
conditions, I might leave it in my pocket or on a belt clip, or I might
have to put it in a window on the other side of the room.

I think there are some things like SEEM edits that require the cable.
