    While looking on Moto's site for possible service centers that would do
    software updates I came across this page:

    http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto...wareUpdate.asp

    Does this mean that we will be able to do this OTA in the near future?

    Motorola and Cingular web sites really bug me.
    You click on a link, and suddenly you're in a different domain.
    I don't feel comfortable putting certain kinds of information into a web
    form at "mrcampaign.com".

    That is the general assumption. Some newer phones (like the US version of
    the SLVR L7) actually have a "software update" entry in the tools menu.
