This is just for my own information, but wasn't there a Motorola phone out a
few years ago that they branded as being the world's smallest cellphone and
they actually advertised it with people wearing it around their necks on
chains? I can remember that it was a small flip phone and I think it was
black, but that's as far as I can get. Any ideas as to what this phone
was/is or am I just having another bad dream.

Sounds a bit like the StarTAC. This was one cute flip phone, if
not the first ever. It was just a bit longer and higher than a
fullsize SIM card and about 1.5 cm high (with battery inserted).
I had one of these, this looked so cool but had some mechanical
problems, like bad contact with the battery. Mine almost
desintegrated because I always kept it in my pants pocket.

Re: Older Motorola Phone
Yes! that's the one I was thinking of in my reply. It was like a smaller
version of the v60 but analog only IIRC. I remember seeing one at a
shop at the Houston Galleria and they wanted well over a thousand $$ for
it. Makes my new v3i look like a bargain!

Re: Older Motorola Phone
The StarTAC. They did make a necklace holder for it, both for men and
women. There were available even in jewelry type holders and jeweled
StarTAC's. Even special StarTAC purses were made by top designers.
I had a teal blue StarTAC on a necklace lanyard cause at the time I
couldn't have anything in my pockets. The necklace had a quick
release locking buckle hooked to a skeleton phone holder. You could
if you wanted to release the phone for use from the necklace or use it
on the necklace.
