Hello,
I canīt install the USB modem driver for my Razor V3. The devices has been
recognized and the driver has been found on the CD but then I get the
message "driver couldnīt be installed" without a reason. What could be the
cause for this failure ?

Thomas

Re: Razor USB Modem
Go into Device Manager, remove the USB modem already installed, reboot,
reinstall MPT and only THEN plug in the phone.

Re: Razor USB Modem
This is what Iīve done: there is no USB modem in the device menager but an
"unknown hardware", which Iīve deinstalled and rebooted.
After installing and starting MPT Iīm asked to plug in the Phone USB cable,
the USB Modem is recognized and I get a list of drivers:
c:\windows\inf\usbmot2000.inf
c:\windows\inf\oem13.inf
c:\windows\inf\oem14.inf
After choosing one of them I get the message "driver couldnīt be installed".
In this dialog window itīs not possible to choose a driver from the CD.

Re: Razor USB Modem
That list of drivers is on your "C:" drive.
Have you tried not selecting one of those and instead browsing to the Moto
Phone tools folder and selecting the proper driver for your OS there?

Re: Razor USB Modem
The correct drivers should be installed automatically when you plug in
the phone. That's why you install the program first. Is you MPT disk
the real McCoy or a copy?

Try using the driver fix program at www.bvrp.com. Maybe that will clean
things up.

Re: Razor USB Modem
No success. Itīs also strange that sometimes, when I plug in the USB cable,
the computer finds a Motorola USB Modem and sometimes a Motorola Phone (V3).
I have no idea why itīs impossible to install the driver from the CD.

Re: Razor USB Modem
Yes.
When I remove the unknown hardware device from the device manager and boot
again, the system installs it again automatically although nothing is
attached to the computer.
