Is there a way to use voice dialing to dial an extension once the call is
connected to an auto-answer phone system?

All calls to my office are first answered by "the system" and the caller is
then prompted to input an extension number...

    All replies are most welcome.

Not unless the voice dialing is a function of your office's auto
attendant system. Voice dialing in the phone is useless as it is not
    used to send DTMF tones.

Thanks. I hadn't thought of that.
Do you have a preferred converter to recommend?

Also what sort of files are polyphonic files? I guess the question is, what
sort of file extension do they have.

    Thanks again for your replies.

I feared as much. What if one inserted a pause or multiple pauses after the
main number after estimating how long it takes for the offic system to answer.
Do you think that the handset would send out DTMF after the pauses if the
    call were answered?

Yes(!), good idea, in that case it would work. You can use a Pause or a
Wait and then the digits would be dialed using DTMF. It would work if
you did a separate entry for each individual. You could do it for the
whole company if you added the zero for operator. Each Pause is 2
seconds. Wait stops till you press a button to continue. Add them by
pressing Menu when dialing the number to be stored.

Hey, will wonders never cease! I tried it (with 3 pauses) and it works like
    a charm.

    Thanks.
