You'd think that a $300 RazrV3 would be a good phone, right? Well, there's a design flaw and it's dust under the screen. I bought two V3's 4-weeks ago and had them both replaced within a week because of the annoying dust. Now the replacements have dust too! Look at other forums and there's plenty of mad people. Motorola will look at the phones but you have to send them in and it takes a month! Even the TMobile senior tech has the same problem, only they don't call it a flaw, only a design. TMobile will not give refunds. I find it pathetic that both Motorola and TMobile rip us off like this. They DO NOT stand behind their products. And there's plenty of clueless people being taken advantage of. Like myself. I'm already out $35 in shipping and counting. What a friggin rip. What can we do???

    What can we do???

How about buying a repair manual and doing the work yourself?

I'm half-kidding. The manuals are available. Dust-free environment and
a couple of hours work, and you're golden.

Touch or open anything on the phone and the warranty is null and void....and I have 11-months left on it.

You should move out of that filthy environment... imagine what your lungs
look like after sucking in all that dust.

Dust. Anybody? No? High in fat, low in fat? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust.
It's actually very low in fat. You can have as much dust as you like...

To replace the screen covers, both inside and out, does not require a
manual, a dust free room nor a couple hours of work. Replacement screen
covers (yes, those are covers - the actual screen is underneath them)
are available very cheap from www.cnn.cn. Use a razor blade, xacto
knife, or mini screwdriver to pry up one corner and peel it off. They
are held with adhesive only around the perimeter so you won't damage the
screen below. Once it's off, clean the remaining adhesive from the case
and use a lint free cloth or chamois to remove the dust and debris that
have accumulated, then place the new screens and press firmly around the
edge to make a tight seal. You can do both in 10 minutes.

I've heard so many complaints about the RAZR. I don't know why people keep buying it.

Always someone will complain. Sell 10,000 phones and always 1 or 2 have
something to say about. Sell 10,000,000 and there will be a few more people
talking about it. The RAZR is one fine phone. Just humungus sales. Heck
people complain about the weather... imagine that.

Because most of the complaints are bogus or matters of preference. Most
people love them which is why they sell so many. The new Razr v3i, which
I've had for 2 months, is even better!

Neat site! Looks like you could almost build a new phone with bits from
    there...

shouldn't a $300 phone already be sealed correctly?

Yes, assuming you're talking about www.cnn.cn. (It's always good to
quote the post you're responding to, to provide context. Many readers
    show only new messages).
I've bought from him on several occasions and he ships quickly. It
comes from Hong Kong & takes about a week in the mail.

spending $600 for 2 phones, I should have two great phones. Two problems:

    1) a design flaw by Motorola
    2) Motorola and TMobile do not stand behind their products.

That equals a ripoff in my book.
