Anyone else suffered this on a V3 or other phone ?
When on a call, I get the 'buzzing' in the earpiece just like you hear on a
radio if it is in the vicinity of a mobile phone making a call. It's not a
constant buzz or hum, but a "be dip be dip be dip buzzzzzzzz be dip be dip
be dip"
You know the kind of sound I'm sure, even though I can't ***** it ! ;-)
There is not a radio on anywhere near the phone at the time, and I am alone
in the house, so there are no other mobile phones anywhere around.
It does not happen on every call, and sometimes it stops midway through a
call and all is quiet.
Any ideas what might be causing it ?
Thanks
Lofty

That the sound you might get if there is another active GSM phone or 2.4
gig cordless phone nearby.

Re: V3 buzzing in earpiece
That's certainly what it sounds like. But there is nothing else in the
house. I had it happen at work the other day too and assumed it was someone
else's phone (though I had never heard it before when I am near someone else
who is on their phone), or the wireless computer network or something.
But when it did it at home, with no other phones in the house, no radios on
and no wireless computers anywhere around I got to thinking it might be the
phone itself.
Anyway it still has the problem of the screens not switching off sometimes
when it is closed (making it get very hot and running down the battery), so
I think it's time to take it back for a repair or a new one.
Thanks for your input.

"Do be do be do"? Might be Frank Sinatra calling...
This is a problem with certain V3's. Search groups for this problem -- I read
about it awhile back. If your phone is under warranty it might be an issue
they can deal with.
Good luck,

That's it, I have the Frank Sinatra version of the V3. Very special limited
edition. :-)
The thing is it is one of those very very very annoying problems which is
intermittent. It had not done it for a week, then this week it has started
up again. You can bet if I take it back it wont be doing it.
I have spoken the the chap where i bought it, and he says he has to send it
off to to get it re-flashed or something, and it takes a week to get it
back.
