Is there any way to get pictures out of a V220 other than with the
    "Motorola Mobile Phone Tools"?

My camera still works fine and I have a bunch of photos in the camera
but when I try to get them transferred to my computer my MPT freezes up
and says that my modem is disabled.

    Help!!

mobiledit? I don't know, there are alternatives that have been mentioned
in this group. I have MPT, and it works for the v220.

There is probably something misconfigured with the com port setting, a big
    weakness in MPT.

Hit F12 as soon as you start MPT, so you can see the messages back and
forth to the modem. If there's no connection, you'll see the same series
of about 10-12 lines repeating every few seconds.

If it's working, you'll see stuff like your phone number, and IMEI going
    by.

FAQs: Phone Installation, Communication, and Drivers:
With MPT not running, can you use the control panel, phones and modems tool
to run "diagnostics" to the modem? The modem com port needs to be less
    than 10.

Since LiveUpdating, I can no longer use my serial connection:
If you have multiple USB ports, or sometimes use a USB hub, you can wind up
with multiple "modems" installed, but only one is configured in MPT.

F6, communication, change modem, pick the right driver, uncheck automatic,
select the comm port to match the one that works from control panel.

This is from memory, so the steps might not be quite right.

    (BVRP forums stink.)
