V220 - internal LCD blank screen

Hi,
Motorola V220 - with service from Cingular - has an internal blank
screen. The internal (larger) screen is gone. The phone works fine. Can
receive and send calls. The external display tells the number when
receiving calls. Phone is out of warranty.

But I can't access my address book or other things.

Is it possible to repair this phone by replacing the LCD? I am in the
US.

Take your V220 to a local Cingulair store. They may be able to correct your
problem by hooking into their diagnostic system

I took it to the store. Didn't work. They said they don't repair. Any
other suggestions?

If the phone is less than 1 year old, send it to Motorola. Just fill in
the service request form at their website and mail it in. You'll have it
back in a few weeks. If it's out of warranty, they will repair it for a
fee or you can buy a screen and replace it yourself. See www.cnn.cn for
parts & tools.
