How to unlock a Motorola V170 from Tracfone

Anybody know how to do this? I had a Cingular Nokia, and it was so easy
to find a free unlocking code over the internet. But for the Motorola
V170, I haven't been able to find one. Any suggestions? I already
called Tracfone and they don't give unlocking codes.

With all my Motorolas I've either had to use a hardware solution (that is,
take it to a shop who attach the phone to a piece of kit) or get the
unlock code from the network. AFAIK unlike Nokia phones, Motorola mobiles
don't have a code that can be generated from the IMEI and/or the network
it's locked to.

I've no idea what sort of place you'd need to find in the US to do such
unlocking, but here in UK you're best looking for a small, independent
mobile phone retailer, especially one that deals in (legitimate)
second-hand phones.
