Every once in a while my V3 turns itself off. Yes, the battery is fully
charged. The phone is only about two months old.

Sounds defective. Could be the ribbon cable getting pinched in the
hinge. Take it back tot he dealer or send it into Motorola for warranty
repair. I just sent one in for my son and got it back in less than 2
weeks.
