I just got a new RzrV3m from Verizon. I am trying to move the phone
book from my v220 to it using Phonetools 4, but all I get is
"initializing.... Please wait"
Anyone have any ideas? When I installed the phone, the program
wouldn't find the phone. I had to install it manually.
Thanks
John

I suggest using the standard WindowsXP BT driver for your BT dongle. Then
install the phone as a BT device in WindowsXP using the Bluetooth Devices
applet in the Control Panel. Finally, while the phone is connected to the
computer run Motorola Phone Tools and create a new profile. When it asks if
you want to install it's driver or use an existing driver choose "existing
driver" (I don't remember the exact wording, but the choice to use the
already installed driver/modem should be pretty clear). Then choose your
phone, etc. Since the phone is already connected to the computer the rest
of the install shouldn't be a problem. This has worked consistently for me.
Hope this helps - let me know if you get stuck.
