Transitioning from Nokia 6200 to Motorola V3 Razr.
Have 200-plus contacts in Nokia phone that are in phone's memory, not on the
SIM card. Have had no luck finding sync. software that will recognize my
phone, so have no backups.
Is there a way to get the contacts onto the SIM card? Then when I transfer
the card to the V3, contacts will come along, presumably.
The Nokia has IR port.
Other ideas?
Thanks,

The options in preferred order are:
sync old phone to Mac using Bluetooth and iSync, then new phone to Mac
transmit from old to new phone via sync/file transfer etc
(try http://www.idexpress.fi/en/gsm/simexpress.html)
copy on old phone to SIM card (usually somewhere in contacts or
settings, then on new phone from SIM card to phone
Bluetooth is preferrable to IR if you have it, cable preferrable to IR
usually.
HTH or at least gets you started.

No BlueTooth. iSync can't see phone via IR. This would be a great option. Any
idea how to get iSync to see it?
(BTW, 3 applications [OnSync, SIM Express (aka ID Express), MegaCellX]
establish communication with the phone [display model and firmware version],
but can download no contact info. I presume that these apps use a generic
driver for this phone [none of these apps have a specific driver for this
model] and it doesn't work, fully.)

See above.

Can't see any option for this on Nokia. Any assistance from someone who knows
otherwise...?

I think communication with the phone is the problem...

Thanks, Marc. Will report any success.

Ask Mike Bradley for ideas and what you can and can't do. You may be able
to get a used cable for next to nothing off ebay or private sales.
Can't you do it with Nokia PC Suite? Free download from the Nokia website,
you just then need a cable.

I use an application called PhoneDirector with my Verizon 6256i to
communicate with my Mac via Bluetooth. It works quite well. It's a
little pricey for your needs at 30 Euros, but it will see and
communicate with a Nokia 62xx series phone. iSync will not.
