I got a new Motorola v3i from my cousin. I am going to London in the
firs tweek of February. Can i use the phone there or should i change
any software? Please suggest me...

Yes, you can use your phone there. Be sure that your carrier has enabled
international roaming on your account! Call them ask for it to be turned
on and ask about rates. TMo charges 99 cents/min. If your phone is
unlocked you can buy prepaid SIM when you get to London and call the US
for just 9 cents a min.
I used MobileWorld and was very pleased.

If your phone is not unlocked, ask your carrier for the unlock code and
tell them you want to use a local SIM while you're in London. Don't
wait! It takes 3 or 4 days for them to cough up the code.
