My RAZR is dying and need to dump my phonebook to the SIM card so I can use
it on my Sony until my new RAZR arrives. Is there a quick way to dump the
entire all my phonebook entries to the SIM using the phone or the MPT?

On the phone, when in your phone book, there should be an option to "Copy
all to..." and then select SIM
Some of the names may get shortened and multiple numbers on one name will be
split into separate entries, but they should all copy across OK. But it is a
bit of a pain when you copy them back onto a phone memory, as they stay
split (in my experience anyway).
Might be better to use the back-up facility on MPT

Motorola Phone Tools is $2.49 on Amazon.
That would be better than SIM. SIM is going to truncate names, and lose
the attributes for multiple numbers under the same name.
Oh, that one is with a new contract... but there are others.
If you want it right away, you can download it from bvrp.com.
http://www.bvrp.com/customers/motorola/upgrade/US/
List is $29.90.
You can use promotion code tech97 to get a 15% discount off of any software
$25.42 Download.

MPT would preserve the data for copy back to the replacement Motorola.
MPT holds data in standard formats, so it could be imported to the Sony
with a Sony compatible program.
SIM is going to lose the data.
A Bluetooth adapter would allow OBEX copy of phone entires, one at a time.
