I acquired this device with "bells and whistles" recently but so far haven't
been able to use any of the more advanced functions (neither bells nor
whistles) and so far I can't do any more with it than with my old phone.
This may well be due my general ignorance, having not kept abreast of mobile
phone technology the last years. And of course there are specific
environmental factors to consider, like what my ISP and telephone service
provider (TSP?) support. Still, to get some impression of what I can
reasonably hope to achieve I have a few basic questions.
1. I'm sure this seem a naive question to many, but regarding the camera and
video functions, having made a photo or video, what then? How do peolpe
generally speaking get then onto their PC? USB cable? Bluetooth? Other?
2. I would like to be able to use the phone as internet access point for my
pocket PC (IPAQ 2110). The Bluetooth link works fine but I can't get further
than that. I suppose this function is dependent on both the ISP and the TSP
but I'm unsure of what questions to ask (understand the ISP should support
GPRS access?).
3. And similarly I understand I should be able to access my e-mail from the
phone, but agian this so far fails.
Thanks for any tips to get me moving!
Peter

Yes.

Yes.

Yes (e.g., MMS message).
I mostly use USB with Motorola Phone Tools software (cheaply available
from shopoem.com).

Lots of hurdles to clear:
* ISP supports CSD or GRPS
* Account provisioned for data access
* Phone Bluetooth profile supports DUN (Dial-Up Networking)
* Pocket PC supports DUN over Bluetooth
* Pocket PC configured to dial connection properly

Lots of different ways to do that:
* Email to SMS gateway at ISP
* WAP based email access
* Email client app running on the phone, configured properly
Since you lack expertise in these areas, I strongly recommend that you
sign up for your (secret) carrier's access package and let the carrier
set it up for you. Once you have it working and have gained some
experience, then you can strike out on your own.

Menu -> Store only
Connect phone to PC via mini USB cable. The phone is either treated as a
memory card (eg A drive letter that can be explored via My Computer, drag
and drop files to My Documents etc) OR use Motorola Phone Tools to transfer
files.
Can't help with the rest.
