I bought (egallly) Motorola Phone Tools for my Razr K1 but I am not
impressed by it at all. First it was not able to syncronize with my
phone but I was able to d/l files like ringtones, videos and pics to
my phone at least. Now it does not even recognize my phone. I think
this prog is very user unfriendly. I llike the phone but the software
sucks . Can someone help me please?. Was it just a waste of money?

When you start MPT (where did you get "MPS", is it a typo?) don't
connect your phone until told to do so, could that be your problem?

Re: MPS not recognizing my phone

    Sorry, typo. It is MPT

I did that after reading your previous posts, but to no avail.

The phone is in USB connection mode, but the MPT prog says the phone
    is not connected.
I also downloaded the USB driver from Motodev, but the PC is not able
    to open it.
    Thanks for your reply,

This has been discussed many times. It sounds like the 1st time you
tried the phone was plugged in first.
To undo the damage, go to Device Manager on your PC and delete all
references to Motorola under Modems and Ports. THEN, run MPT and plug
in the phone when told to do so.

There is no reference to Motorola in Device Manager.
However, in Phone and Modem Options in Control panel, there is
reference to Motorola modum com3. It says " connected" when phone is
connected, but MPT still does not pick it up

Unplug the phone, delete the modem, then start MPT and connect the
phone only when told to do so, see if that helps.
