razr v3 midi ringtones tutorial?

Can the razr v3 use midi files as ringtones?
Is there a tutorial on how to customize midi files for this purpose?

(e.g. is there a length limit, size limit, # of simultaneous notes limit,
loudness limit, etc)

I haven't tried it myself, but I think that Motorola Phone Tools can
convert certain files to MP3. I use it mostly to rip tunes off my CD
collection.
