Hello all,

Read my previous post for more detailed info.

I made some ringtones using MPT's Melody Studio, Saved them to my computer
as mp3's, then transfered them to my phone in Melody Studio. I'm guessing
the file type of these files on the phone is also mp3's (haven't checked yet
to verify).

On my newer Cingular RAZR (has a SIM card), they play fine through the
external speaker, but on my co-workers older Verizon RAZR (no SIM card),
they play through the earpiece speaker (I couldn't bluetooth the ringtone to
her nor could I transfer it with MPT's Melody/File Txfr studios--the studios
weren't avialable when I hooked her phone up--I had to send it in an MMS
message). Even when she asigns it as a ringtone, same thing...quietly
through the earpiece when she gets a call. She recorded a voice memo that
plays the same way. All the other ringtones play through the external
speaker. This ringtone I created & the voice memo she recorded are listed
along with all her stock ringtones. It appears that her phone thinks it is
a voice memo.

Does this have something to do with the file being an mp3?
Did the file get converted to a different file type when I sent it in an MMS
message?
Is there a SEEM that I can tweek to get this file to play through the
external speaker?
Do I have to change the file to a different file type?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

Conan Kelly
