Hello,
Can the RAZR V3 be placed into Bluetooth HeadSet mode?
HeadSet mode is used for earphone devices that do not
have microphones.
Bluetooth Handsfree mode is on my Bluetooth Settings
menu and provides access to devices that provide both
microphones and earphones.
Thank you,
David

That is not quite true. The bluetoot headset (HSP) profile is for
devices with a microphone, just as the bluetooth hands-free (HFP)
profile is. The difference is the number of auxiliary commands
supported. HSP only supports very basic functionality like accepting a
call and talking while HFP also like advanced features like phonebook
transfer etc.
However, the V3 supports both HFP and HSP without any need for user
settings. Just connect a HSP device (like a simple headset) and the
phone will talk HSP with it or connect a HFP device (like an in-car
system) and the phone will talk HFP with it.

Thank you for the clarification, Andreas. I have some new hearing aids
and was trying to get away with just listening with them. The extra
microphone thing is another $1,500. I'd be happy with talking in
speakerphone mode. I misinterpreted what each mode was.
