The specifications of the v3i phone on Motorola's website in both the US
and Germany say that the phone records MPEG videos. But the format
generated by my phone is 3gp.

Is my year-old phone just not up-to-date, or is 3gp some kind of container
for MPEG? In the later case, it shouldn't be necessary to transcode in
order to get .mpeg format, should it?

See More: 3gp format instead of mpeg on v3i?
