Got a new Razr2 V8 yesterday and am very impressed with it so far - love the
talking phone option and am having fun making my little man read out rude
words in text messages. Also LOVE that huge outer screen and the ability to
read text messages on it and have a full size caller picture :-)))
But, one issue has come up:
When you set a 30m or 1hr alarm from the Options softkey, the resultant
alarm is a very quiet series of 'chimes'
I cannot find anywhere to set this to a different or louder ring. It does
not seem to be linked to the main alarms you can set.
Anyone know if this can be changed - and if so how ?
Mine is a UK spec phone supplied by O2 (if that helps).
Cheers

Re: RAZR2 V8
T-Mobile will be releasing the v8 in the US this Friday (so they claim).
I'll be anxious to play with that feature and get into some of the
programming options.

Re: RAZR2 V8
Thanks Bruce, I look forward to your findings.
While you are playing, see if you can find a way to make the phone Vibrate
ONLY on receipt of a text message.
I used to like the old options of dot dash vibrate options for all kinds of
alerts, but I don't think it's available on the V8.
Having said that though, I am still very happy with the V8 and love it more
every time I pick it up to use it.
It's retained enough of the Motorola features I have loved for years for the
few missing bits to be nothing more than a very minor annoyance, especially
when set aside all the new enhancements..

Give a full report in a couple weeks. I am curious if Moto has fixed
the initial bugs.
