CORRECTION: The T62u does *not* have built-in Bluetooth. It is compatible
with a Bluetooth adapter, but I notice that's not something you want.

AFAIK, there's no phone with GSM, "digital" (TDMA IS-136), and built-in
    Bluetooth.

Are you sure about that? The SonyEricsson web site omits any mention
of bluetooth. AT&T's web site says you can use it for serial stuff
    with a modem.

If I got an unlocked one, could I use the GSM part for T-Mobile, and
activate some prepaid service on the TDMA side? Seems like it could be
interesting for roaming around a lot. I like T-Mobile's $20/month
unlimited data. Faster would be better, but I ain't gonna pay
    $80/month for data...

Think what you're asking. How could it possibly support both at once?

Oh, come on, you are applying a literal interpretation to the words. I'm
not asking for a phone that is *ACTIVE* in TDMA and GSM modes at the same
moment. I am asking for a phone that can support both standards, and
transparently to the user choose the appropriate technology for a given call
    at a given place.

The AT&T guy was misleading you, but not really.

Does it SUPPORT TDMA and GSM and the same time? YES. A GAIT phone such as
this one works with TDMA, GSM, and Analog.

Will it work both the TDMA and GSM at the exact same time? NO. It can not
connect to two different networks at the same time. It is an either or
    thing.

So yes you can get the GSM network as well as the TDMA network on your
phone, just not at the same time.

Re: Phone That Does GSM, Digital, and Bluetooth

exactly. the phone DOES WORK WITH (SUPPORTS) TDMA AND GSM. Period.

ONLY that it CANNOT use BOTH AT THE SAME TIME.

    |
    |
    |
