"w", "p" and "w" should work fine on your phone.

    Example for "w":

Assume that you want to call AT&T (1-800-888-7600) and then put four digit
number 1234, you would do this:

    1. Enter 18008887600
    2. Press MENU key (the middle key)
    3. Select "Insert Wait"
    4. Enter 1234

    Your screen should display 18008887600w1234

    5. Press SEND key.

After the call is connected, the phone will display "Send Tones 1234" with
    CANCEL and OK.

    6. Press OK

The phone then will send all four digits 1234 out.

Type the above step and see if it works.

    - Hope this help.

    Roger.

Many thanks Roger for your suggestion.

When I try the AT&T wireless number you showed, it worked just as it's
    supposed to.
It appears as though my company net may not be triggering the "call
    completed" status
as I connect. I get the "please enter your authorization code" voice, but
    the phone does
not switch to the "Send Tones" prompt.

My call-in number is 1-800 225 5649. I'd appreciate it if you'd see if it
does the same with your phone.

(It's really frustrating as re-keying the auth code without the characters
being displayed is tricky on such
    a tiny keyboard!)
