Hello all,
I've recently bought a brand new T720i on the O2 network in the UK.
My problem is a fairly cosmetic one. When I view my SMS message inbox, it
always displays the first line of the message. What I'd prefer is to see
the name of the person who sent me the message.
I've found a setting on the menu that would appear to do this. On the
"Message Setup" menu, there is an option called "INBOX VIEW" which has two
options. "Sender" and "subject". However, I've tried both options, and
neither seem to make any difference.
Has anyone else had any luck with this?
Please reply to the newsgroup only.
Thanks in advance!

I think if you set it to view Sender, then any subsequent messages show
Sender.
It does not change the view on messages already sat in your inbox.
Change it to View Sender, then send yourself a message to check it.

Set it to view Sender, then wait for a new message to arrive.
The setting does not change the view on messages already sitting in your
inbox, but once you change the setting any new messages should show the
sender rather than the subject.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
Tried what you recommended. No change I'm afraid. I still get the first
line of the message.
Any ideas?

I'm going to keep an eye over the next few days and see if I can see a

You are right though, not all messages have the sender shown.
(I am on O2 as well by the way, and after recent troubles getting MMS to
work between two T720's I would not be surprised if it is something to do
with them).
