My i85s has always been a big pain to charge with the little plug that
say "I want to be broken" or "Give me some dirt." Putting these two
exceptions asdie for a minute, I went to plug my phone into the
charger (AC) and it will only charge if i gorrila the plug into the
bottom of the phone. As soon as I let go though it stops charging. I
have wiggeled and waggled for over an hour with this thing and even
tried taking the face plate off my phone which I have never done
before. As a 2nd question, I saw 6 screws. They are smaller then star
10 and my hardware store doesnt sell anything smaller. Any ideas? I
fit a percision screwdirver in there and got a good bite but the screw
is too tight. Please help me! Thanks in advance! -Ben

Re: Strange Charging Problems w/ i85s

Most likely the "legs" are broken right at the circuit board in the
phone. The same thing happened to my i90. If you have a soldering
station with some fine tips you can repair it. If not, you will have to
charge the battery separate from the phone.

    Good luck,

    Terry
