    Who does Text Message Alerts besides Yahoo and Verizon/MSN? and AOL?

    Check the web pages of some of the television or radio stations.
    Many of them require a confirmation reply which might be difficult
    with some carriers. It might be easier to set it up with a regular
    email account first. The initial message sometimes gets truncated
    so you cannot see the temporary password on a cellular phone screen.
