Motorola today warned that it could face product delays for two popular
camera phones, impacting two of the company's biggest carrier partners,
Verizon Wireless and Vodafone. Motorola earlier this year warned that
product shipments could be delayed due to the SARS outbreak in China, which
slowed the company's phone production. According to researcher Strategy
Analytics, 25 million camera phones were sold worldwide in the first half of
2003, and 65 million are expected to be sold for the entire year -- a figure
that will represent 13 percent of all cell phones sold this year. Article

It's not important. The best phones are the LG line. I wonder what they
will have soon. Color, PTT, speakerphone, and camera in one.

Well, gee, if they had kept production in Harvard, Illinois, where THEY GOT
A HUGE TAX BREAK TO BUILD THE FACTORY THEY JUST CLOSED, they wouldn't have
    a SARS problem.

(I'm not entirely certain they completely closed the factory, but I know
the town and the state are damn pissed about all the layoffs this year.)

spent maybe 28 hours rehearsing exactly what I was going to say. So when I
actually made the call, I was pretty smooth.
