    Hi all,

I have checked out the manufacture sites, manuals, etc. of different
phones that have speakerphones built in to them but have not been able to
find out the information I am looking for. It would be greatly appreciated
if anybody out there could help me or know what direction to point me to.
What I am looking for is the wattage and/or the decibel rating on the
speaker themselves on the speakerphones. I am researching this for a family
relative that has a little trouble with hearing and as such I am looking for
the loudest or close to it to accommodate. Also on some of the phones I
have looked at so far I do not see the speaker, are they all inside the
phone? Is there any where the speaker is outside (built into the cover)?
Thanks to all that can help. I guess I am also possibly looking to compare
to Nextel speakerphones also, I have heard one which sounds loud on just a
low setting. Help is always appreciated. Thanks

I have no idea where to find such data, but I'm pretty hard of hearing
(I buy my watches based on the frequency and loudness of the alarm -
so far I've only found one I can hear), and the V60P speakerphone is
loud. So are the ring tones. (I used to put my phone in my shirt
pocket, in the car, so that I could hear it ring. I can hear the V60P
if it's on my belt.) And I can use the speakerphone easily in a noisy
    car.

Only problem is the PTT system - it currently stinks. But if they
make the phone available for other plans, or come out with a non-PTT
    version, I'd recommend it.

    Not that I'm aware of.

Check their coverage in the area in which the phone will be used.
